I have always been the kind of person who needs to see it for myself…and damn Tina…that river is popping at the seams and flowing like a mutha!
I did fish…I didn’t catch a fish, I lost 6 flies.
The rain has been amazing, it’s great for all kinds of things and I am not complaining. I just need to learn how to fish this kind of water and learn something new to stay on top of my game as a fly angler.
So what does this all mean, well if you fish the South Platte below Deckers I would give it some more time before you head that way. I read today if you head about Decker and the bridge right there at the cross roads your fishing experience should be solid…but below is going to be a little wild for a bit.
Speaking of wild…well wading in water moving at the CFS is wild and not something I like. I need to look into a wading staff or stick. I’m getting old, old people like them walking sticks!
No get out there and go fish…make some memories and have fun in wild places searching for wild things.
